Weekend brunch has become every Londoner’s favourite part of the week. Rolling out of bed on a Saturday morning and meeting your friends for brunch is a celebration that the weekend has finally begun. What better way to celebrate two blissful work-free days, than by eating too much avocado and drinking too many Bloody Mary’s? If this sounds like your kind of heaven, let me share 10 of London’s most beautiful brunch spots with you. I’ve selected each of these eateries because they boast beautifully designed interiors, carefully curated menus and they are (or ought to be) on every Londoner’s brunch list.
Bronte
Bronte is London’s newest and trendiest brunch place and is quickly gaining popularity. Overlooking Trafalgar Square, the restaurant was designed by the famous Tom Dixon and is a delight for any interior design enthusiast. Their brunch menu is extensive with everything from buttermilk pancakes to hot smoked salmon to beef burgers.

Bourne And Hollingsworth
The beautiful interior at Bourne and Hollingsworth captures Londoners with its botanical conservatory and art-deco printed arm chairs. That, and the bottomless brunches where Bellinis and Bloody Marys fly out the bar. Getting a table at this favourite brunch spot is no easy feat with brunchers waiting weeks for an alcohol-fuelled morning of fun and frivolities.

The Laslett
This chic hotel functions as a brunch spot by day and a fashionable bar by night and I’m inclined to call it Notting Hill’s best kept secret. The interior is elegant and feminine with a colour palette of pink suede, green marble and copper. Choose to have your brunch in the light and airy library or at the bar, but in the summer months there’s no other place than the sunny street-side terrace.

Chiltern Firehouse
Chiltern Firehouse is one brunch spot which has gained celebrity status. You might just brush elbows with David Cameron over your eggs benedict. The brunch is every bit as extravagant as you would expect with market oysters, foie gras and lobster and crab omelette on the menu.

Nopi
Whilst there’s no official brunch menu at Nopi, the breakfast menu is bursting with brunch options such as shakshuka made with eggs, spicy tomato sauce and smoked labneh and mushrooms on sourdough with poached eggs. Ottolenghi has earned quite the reputation as a celebrity chef in the London restaurant scene, so you can count on eating something delicious.

Opso
Greek food doesn’t usually spring to mind when you think of brunch, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried Opso. This spot serves up a Greek feast with all of your favourites on the menu including tzatziki, baked feta cheese and olives. If you prefer your brunch sweet, order the pancakes with fresh berries or the homemade granola with thyme, honey, pomegranate and chilled blueberries.

Iddu
This Sicilian eatery is an absolute gem. Entirely authentic, you’ll find a selection of Sicilian tapas on the brunch menu. Fill a table with prosciutto, mozzarella, avocado bruschetta, artichoke salad and aubergine caponata and enjoy an Italian feast for brunch. The only downside is that their brunch menu is only served on Sundays.

Granger & Co.
Granger & Co. is Notting Hill’s hottest brunch spot with a permanent hour-long queue snaking down the street. The fact that they don’t take reservations can be a bit of a nuisance and means you have to be there before the doors open if you don’t fancy queuing. Once inside the brunch is worth the wait, particularly the famous ricotta hotcakes served with banana and honeycomb butter.

No.11 Pimlico Road
With a bar in the centre and fiery Bloody Mary’s flying out, this is the place to come for the hair of the dog. The brunch menu is hearty and satisfying with the likes of avocado and cheese toasties, mac and cheese and blueberry ricotta pancakes on the menu.

The Ivy
The Ivy is the queen of brunch in London. With an established reputation, an extensive menu and stellar eggs benedict, they’ve mastered the art of brunching. My favourite location is the Chelsea Garden one as the conservatory and outside areas are incredibly picturesque.
